Our Team
Weather for your world — built by people who’ve been doing this for 25 years
Founded in 2000, CustomWeather is a specialized team of meteorologists, developers, and data experts delivering high-resolution weather intelligence worldwide. We power forecasts, historical climate records, mapping, and alert systems across 85,000+ global locations in over 85 languages.
We stay intentionally boutique. That means direct access, zero bureaucracy, and long-term client partnerships with the exact engineers and meteorologists who build your models and write your code.

Our meteorological team
maintains and refines our forecasting model, along with the assimilation pipeline that pulls from government sources, private weather networks, and Earth observation platforms. They're the reason our forecasts resolve to specific points rather than general areas — down to 100 meters anywhere on the globe.

Our technical team
builds and supports the APIs, feeds, and map services our clients depend on. XML and JSON, geolookup, gridded data access without the download, private-labeled delivery that keeps our clients' brands front and center. They've handled migrations from providers that shut down overnight, and they've built one-off solutions for requirements no off-the-shelf product could meet.

Our client services team
works the way a boutique provider should: directly, personally, and without a ticket queue between you and an answer.
Across all three, the constant is a genuine fascination with weather and an equally genuine satisfaction in seeing our data do real work — in a utility's load forecast, an irrigation district's delivery schedule, an offshore crew's go/no-go call, or a machine learning pipeline that needed 50 years of clean history to train on.
What We Believe

Customization isn't an upsell
Every industry we serve — energy and renewables, insurance, agriculture, maritime and offshore, broadcast, drone operations, AI and machine learning — measures weather risk differently. We build to those differences rather than around them.

Resolution and reach shouldn't be a tradeoff
Global coverage often means coarse data; hyperlocal precision often means a limited footprint. We've spent 25 years refusing to choose, and our clients get both.

History is as valuable as forecast
Our archive reaches back over 50 years, and it's the most comprehensive available. Understanding what the atmosphere has already done is how you prepare for what it will do next.

Access should be simple
Data that's difficult to integrate is data that doesn't get used. Clean formats, clear documentation, and direct support are part of the product, not accessories to it.
How We Work
We start by understanding what the weather actually costs you — the decisions, the thresholds, the margins where a few degrees or a few hours matter. Then we build the feed, report, or integration that fits, and we stay involved as your needs evolve.
Some of our clients have been with us for over two decades. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.
Work With Us
Whether you need a production API, a set of daily reports delivered to a crew, or a historical dataset shaped for your models, our team is ready to talk specifics.
